So why you have to go?
I was counting on forever
Now I never know
I can't even breathe

It's like I'm standing far away
Saw the footprints you left
Heard the sound they cried
Holding the flowers I never had
The tears I wanna hide
And everybody said it,
You're not coming back home now

I was waiting
For the good lord
To lift my soul
And heal this hurt

Cause this can't be happening to me
It's not true
At all.
